During fieldwalking in advance of the Aylsham bypass prehistoric flints including a laurel leaf-shaped point and fragments of Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery were found at this spot.

February to March 1979. Southeast part of field along line marked out for Aylsham bypass.
Found on surface of ploughed field.

Found by Norfolk and Suffolk Metal Detecting Society.
