Full description

1979. Stray Find.
Found below driveway of Lion House, on the underlying ground (S3)[1].
1 prehistoric flint hammer stone and 1 small flint flake with slight working on one face.

Found in garden (S3).
Unusual flint implement; blade flake with thick bulb of percussion, truncated by hinge fracture; large striking platform.
On side worked at either side with pressure flaking leaving band of cortex down centre. Other side roughly flaked. Hinge fracture actually sharpened with steep retouch.
