Full description
Around 1973. Dug up in garden.
Unlooped palstave, small hole in hafting slot.
Accurate grid reference from (S1).
In fact not so accurate. Location corrected from up-to-date map of houses sent by West Norfolk District Council 1988.

Found in garden with metal detector:
1 silver finger ring, could be late Roman but perhaps more recent Near Eastern. See drawing (S2).
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU).

Now believed to be most likely a relatively recent object, see below.
