Full description
Around 1870. Found 270m (300 yards) north of Ellingham Hall.
17th or 18th century kiln or glass furnace.
1934. Visit.
Photographs taken.
See (S1).
R. R. Clarke (NCM), 1934.
August 1977. Visit.
No trace on surface. A weed covered field margin between crop and woods. I think it was doubtful that it was a glass furnace, and what is the evidence for the date? Note 'Old Brick Kiln Cottage' on map to north (now demolished).
E. Rose (NAU), 2 August 1977.
