Summary

St Mary is an early church, with a Norman south doorway built around 1140 and displaying a variety of decoration including a beast in the apex of the hoodmould. The strong square west tower dates to the 15th century, and frequently utilises brick. The nave itself has a low thatched roof and a brick chancel dating to 1738, with a tile roof. Inside is an early 14th centuy font and screen and a 15th century tower stair door.
