A triangular flint arrowhead which has been shaped to form a central projection at the base (tang) with smaller points (barbs) on either side. The sides of the arrowhead may be straight or gently curved in towards the central tang. Barbed and tanged arrowheads generally date to the Neolithic period or Early Bronze Age.
