A cropmark of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs taken during the 1940s. It has been suggested that it probably represents an infilled pit or hollow.

Field northwest of Bypass/A1064 roundabout.

Cropmark noted by R.R. Clarke (NCM) on (S1).

March 1996.
Cropmarks checked by E. Rose (NAU). On July 1946 photos the cropmark is a vague blob. However RAF AP of September 1944 shows it as a white mark with tyre tracks of turning circle inside. Probably therefore infilled pit or hollow.
