Full description

Barrow, marked on 1st edition 1 inch Ordnance Survey map of 1838 (S1), still on 1907 edition. W.G. Clarke (erroneously claimed tumulus here) just north of Lodge Farm about 90 feet OD.
(S2) claims barrow; corrected W. G. Clarke in Norwich Library copy.
R. R. Clarke (NCM).

But the 1838 marking could not have come from W. G. Clarke! Map checked by E. Rose (NAU) and it does mark a barrow here.
Farmer knew of report but there is apparently no trace either in ploughed field or in wood behind house.
A. J. Lawson (NAU), 12 November 1979.

21 April 1971. Ordnance Survey air photography.
Soilmarks.
Barrow.
D. Voisey (NLA), 29 February 1995.
