Summary

This World War Two airfield still has several of the main runways, a few buildings and a bomb store remaining. Some of the buildings have surviving paintings. The airfield was used by the 118th Division of the United States Army Air Force.

Full description

World War Two airfield.

October 1976.
Occupied by 118 division United States Army Air Force. Most of main runways remain. At TF 9133 4192 is a memorial to the users, now neglected. Many associated buildings of no interest lie to west along Herne Lane.
