Summary

It is recorded that a small number of Neolithic flint tools, Roman, medieval and post medieval pottery sherds were recovered from this field before 1982. Metal detecting in 2002 recovered a Middle Bronze Age palstave fragment, medieval pottery sherds and a small number of medieval to post medieval metal objects.

One Samian rim, one Roman greyware rim.
Information from NCM map.
A. J. Lawson (NAU) lists as: five Roman bodysherds; nine medieval body, two medieval body, two medieval bases, three medieval rims, one handle; seven post medieval sherds including one Westerwald and one Langerwehe; five brick fragments; one slag.
Flint: four scrapers, two blades, three flakes, two retouched flakes.
