Record Details

NHER Number:61084
Type of record:Monument
Name:Undated mound at Santon Street

Summary

A linear mound, of unknown date and function, was identified as an earthwork during a field visit and is also visible on lidar imagery. Its appearance on the lidar suggests that it may be a modern feature, but it could instead form part of the boundaries and trackways recorded to the east and south as NHER 62066. Parts of these may in turn relate to the medieval to post-medieval Santon Warren (NHER 54065).

The linear or trapezoidal mound described above is visible as an earthwork on imagery from a recent lidar survey (S1) [1].
