Summary

A late 18th century dovecote. It is square, built of brick and flint and has a hipped roof of black glazed pantiles. There are slatted openings on the south and west and inside are numerous brick nest boxes. In the 1980s it was derelict, but in 1991 there were plans to restore it.

Full description

Dovecote (S1).
(S2) describes as late 18th century, disused and ruinous. Square, flint and brick plinth, dogs teeth cornice, hipped roof of black glazed pantiles, central wooden glover; door to west, slatted openings south and west. On interior, to north and east three low arches below nine rows of brick nest boxes, twelve per row (on south and west, mostly fallen).
