Summary

In 1946 a Neolithic bowl was found buried with two skeletons, presumably contemporary with it. Sherds of Early Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman and medieval pottery were also found in the area.

1946.
Grooved ware (Rinyo-Clacton) bowl and two skeletons found. See drawing of bowl (S1), which is reproduced in (S2).
Also beaker, Iron Age?, Roman or medieval pottery found nearby.

Fragment of A/C Beaker and other sherds (Iron Age or Bronze Age) found close to Grooved Ware bowl (also Roman and medieval).
