Full description

In 1930 the lower part of the apse of this church was excavated under the east end of the present Cathedral, under the Lady Chapel.

1952. 'The earlier structure can still be seen' (S1).
Wall containing probable Late Saxon bricks 20.3cm by 11.4cm by 3.8cm (8 inches by 4 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches) in choral wall.
The church was mentioned in Domesday Book. Demolished 1096.
