Summary
During the period 1910-14, two Roman jars were recovered from this location. One was identified as a crude example of grey ware while the other was made from a pinkish white paste with a dark brownish red slip.

Full description
1910-12 and 1914.
Two Roman jars found.
1. Greyware, imperfectly fired (?from adjacent kiln) 120mm high, 50mm wide at base and 50mm wide at mouth.
2. Pinkish-white paste with dark brownish red slip - somewhat worn (110mm high, 130mm diameter at mouth, 60mm diameter at base) ?3rd century.
