Summary
Magnetic anomalies indicative of Iron Age or Roman settlement remains were recorded during field reconnaissance survey on the route of a gas pipeline. However, fieldwalking and metal detecting survey recovered only worked flints, a piece of post medieval pottery, one medieval and two Roman coins.

November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Plot number 236.
Magnetic anomalies indicative of Iron Age or Roman settlement remains were recorded along a transect of at least 120m in length. Fieldwalking recovered worked flints, including two Neolithic flints, and a piece of post medieval pottery. Previous fieldwalking had found a flint and medieval pottery scatter (NHER 34475). Metal detecting survey found one medieval and two Roman coins.
