Full description

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of field boundaries of unknown and medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3252 0104 and were previously recorded as NHER 23743. A group of rectilinear field boundary cropmarks are present on a roughly west to east and north to south alignment. These partly correspond to the field pattern shown on the 1806 Thurton enclosure map (S4) and are likely to be of medieval to post medieval date. Other linear ditch cropmarks, possibly field boundaries of unknown date, are also present.
J. Albone (NMP), 11 June 2007.
