Full description

March 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of possible Roman date, probably former field boundaries, are visible on aerial photographs between Moor Road and Stalham Dyke (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 3767 2411.
The majority of the ditches to the east of the site are broadly aligned either northwest to southeast or northeast to southwest and are likely to be the fragmentary remains of field boundaries of unknown date, although an Iron Age to Roman date is a possibility. Finds of a Roman date have been recovered from the general area of these cropmarks (NHER 33428). Similarly aligned field boundaries have been recorded nearby (NHER 49307 and 49314 to 5), again some of these are associated with Roman material.
S. Massey (NLA).
