Full description
March 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of an area of medieval to post medieval possible peat or turf extraction are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Chapelfield Farm (S1). The site is centred on TG 3665 2402.
It is possible, given the proximity to Sutton Broad, that the extraction area is related to peat or turf. It is therefore probable that the extraction site is located on the northern edge of the upper valley peat deposits.
S. Massey (NMP) 29 March 2007.
