Summary

Prehistoric flints, post-medieval gunflints and pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval periods have been found on this site since the 1940s. Metal-detecting in 2015 recovered an undatable honestone; further late prehistoric worked flint; further Late Iron Age, Roman and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, Middle Saxon and medieval coins; medieval roof tile fragments and Late Iron Age to Early Saxon and medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Iron Age/Roman unidentified copper alloy object, a Roman key, an Early Saxon brooch and medieval brooches and a thimble.
