Summary
In 2006 an archaeological evaluation was carried out here. It was discovered that this area was used for small-scale localized sand extraction during the post medieval period. A number of other features were also present in the form of pits, postholes, ditches and a wall foundation. These appeared to be predominantly of post medieval date and may well be associated with the extraction pits or with later landuse.

Evaluation of proposed development site. Contexts 1-64?
The area was used for small scale localized sand extraction during the post-medieval period. A number of other features were also present in the form of pits, postholes, ditches and a wall foundation. These appeared to be predominantly of post medieval date and may be associated with extraction in this area.
