Four probable saltern mounds are visible on aerial photographs. It is likely that they are Late Saxon or medieval features. Another possible saltern mound is located to the north (NHER 42215).

Full description

December 2005. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of saltern mounds of probable Late Saxon to medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1 and S2). These mounds are centred on TG 4635 0555. A group of four irregularly shaped mounds are present ranging in size from 31m by 11.5m to 37m by 26m. It is likely that they are saltern mounds of Late Saxon to medieval date. Another possible saltern mound is located 145m further to the north (NHER 42215).
