November 2005. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site. Contexts 100 to 401.
Revealed a small oval pit with six small pottery sherds from the fill. These sherds were identified as a mix of Iron Age, Roman and Saxon pottery, although a subsequent re-examination suggests that all are Iron and Roman (see below).

The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2010.89).

February 2006. Examination of the pottery by NLA suggests that these sherds are all Iron Age and Roman.
