Full description
October 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of an incomplete ring ditch, possibly a Bronze Age round barrow, is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is located at TG 4907 1495. The ring ditch is incomplete with only its eastern and northwest sides visible. A linear ditch (NHER 27263) cuts across the northern edge of the ring ditch obscuring the line of its ditch. It is sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and has an external diameter of 20m. It is likely that it is Bronze Age in date and that it relates to a round barrow. It is located on a northeast-facing slope at approximately 7m OD. This round barrow forms part of a dispersed group of at least six ring ditches. The closest of these are located 150m to the west (NHER 42050), 220m to the northwest (NHER 12179) and 280m to the southwest (NHER 18341).
