Full description
July 2005. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two slit trench is visible on contemporary aerial photographs (S1 to S2). This trench was located in the corner of a field at TG 5170 1377. A 12m long curved trench with associated outer bank was positioned in the southwest corner of the field looking to the northeast. An outer circuit of barbed wire was also present. This defensive position was present by 16 August 1940 (S1) and remained until at least 10 February 1941 (S2).
