Summary
An old kiln was marked at this location on a 18953 Ordnance Survey map. A visit to the site in 1993 found no structural remains of the kiln but the area was heavily overgrown, and as such any evidence of the kiln could have been concealed.

Full description
Old kiln. Marked on 6in Ordnance Survey of 1953.
E. Rose (NAU).
24 June 1993.
No structural remains of kiln. Deep pits along north field boundary overgrown with nettles might conceal evidence. To
south, bare or stunted patch 15m (50ft) across in pea field contains one large yellow brick or slab and many brick fragments - but latter might only derive from manuring.
E. Rose (NLA) 25 June 1993.
