Full description
May 2005. Norfolk NMP.
The ring ditch described below was previously recorded as part of NHER 12165.
A ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1) to (S2), centred at TG 4860 1652. It is most likely to be the site of a Bronze Age round barrow, part of barrow cemetery NHER 27342. It is roughly circular in shape and measures approximately 9.5m in diameter. A gap on the northeast side of the ring ditch is more likely to be a product of the cropmark being masked than a genuine causeway. A near central internal pit ditch may mark the site of an associated burial.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 5 May 2005.
