Summary
The Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey, undertaken in 2004, recorded at least eleven sections of iron railway track with iron sleepers in this area. This railway was used in the post war period during mine and bomb disposal. Explosive devices were collected and then transported using the railway to areas on the beach where controlled explosions could take place.

May to November 2004. Norfolk Rapid Coastal Survey. Context 460.
At least eleven sections of iron railway track with iron sleepers were recorded. Where measurable, the tracks were 0.6m apart. The railway was used in the post war period during mine and bomb disposal. Explosive devices were collected and then transported using the railway to areas on the beach where controlled explosions could take place. (S1).
Building material had fallen from the clifftop, including flint cobble wall and bricks, some of which may have come from post medieval buildings or garden walls.
