Summary

At least ten circular wooden posts were found embedded in the bank of a saltmarsh channel. Around the posts, blocks of chalk were laid on branches to form a rudimentary surface. The structure would have served as a small quay or landing stage.

Inter-tidal survey (Environmental Zone 10), Context 903:
At least ten circular wooden posts were found embedded in the bank of a saltmarsh channel. Around the posts, blocks of chalk were laid on branches to form a rudimentary surface. The structure would have served as a small quay or landing stage.
