Summary
These farm buildings are to the west of the former farmhouse (NHER 40814), which is now a separate plot. The buildings form a courtyard, the west side of which is an 18th century plastered and weatherboarded timber framed barn. An interesting feature of this building is a row of small holes under the eaves, thought to be to allow swallows access to nest. Inside are the remains of a stone threshing floor. There is also a good quality 19th century brick stable with traces of its original internal partitions. Other 19th century buildings form the rest of the courtyard. It is thought some or all of the buildings are being converted to residential use.
