Name:Medieval to post medieval pottery sherds and silver fitting

Summary

A number of late medieval and early post medieval pottery sherds have been recovered from an area close to Cow Tower (NHER 632) on the bank of the River Wensum. In addition, a 15th to 16th century silver fitting or escutcheon in the form of a 'dragon' head, which probably would have projected from a vessel to hold the handle, was also recovered.
