January/February 2003. Metal detecting.
Early Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch, small rectangular head plate with narrow wings, attached full round top knob, side knobs missing, single lug with corroded fragment of spring. Facetted bow with two longitudinal grooves, facetted foot with animal head terminal, catch plate on reverse, 8 x 67mm.
Aberg group I, 5th century.
