NHER Number:37195
Type of record:Monument
Name:Probable Early Saxon inhumation cemetery and multi-period finds

Summary

Metal detecting in 2002 recovered various objects. The presence of an Early Saxon pendant and two brooches suggest that the probable Early Saxon inhumation cemetery recorded as NHER 25856 continues westwards to this site. Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins were amongst the other finds noted in this area. Excavation in 2003 uncovered prehistoric finds and features (See NHER 37617).
