Summary
An evaluation and watching brief carried out by SAS in 2002 revealed a medieval pit associated with medieval pottery, and an area of medieval ploughsoil, which showed evidence of crops not being harvested and allowed to rot in the ground. Medieval and post medieval finds were recovered from the site.

Full description
January 2002. Trial Trenching and Watching Brief.
Evaluation of site of new lake and subsequent monitoring of excavation of lake. Contexts 1 to 300 used.
Medieval pit with charcoal and pottery.
Undated gully.
Evidence of crops which had not been harvested and allowed to rot in ground, associated with medieval sherds.
Post-medieval pit.
