An aerial photograph taken in 1946 showed three circular structures here, two extant and one as a soilmark. The western one had an entrance to the northeast and a small tower on its northern flank. The eastern one had an entrance to the west. These features presumably had a military function, possibly as gun emplacements or radar beacons.

January 1946. RAF aerial photograph.
Shows three circular structures, two extant, the smaller southern one as soilmark. Western one has entrance
to northeast and a small tower on its northern flank. Eastern one has entrance to west.
Presumed military function, possibly gun emplacements, but for what?
Possibly beacon.
