THE CENTRAL POINT FOR THE SITE HAS BEEN ALTERED FROM TG 4414 2640 TO TG 4411 2649.
September 2005. Norfolk NMP.
The World War Two type 24 pillbox is visible on aerial photographs buried within the dunes at Waxham (S1 to S3). An additional structure is also visible in 1946 to the immediate east of the pillbox (S2). The site is centred on TG 4411 2649. This structure is only partially visible, although it may be polygonal in plan. This may have been a further gun emplacement or similar defensive structure.
