Summary
Possibly 14th or 15th century in origin, this is a two storey rendered timber framed farmhouse with a thatched roof. It seems to have begun life as an open hall house, with a buttery and pantry to the west and a parlour to the east. In about 1600 the parlour was rebuilt, a chimney stack added and an upper floor inserted in the hall. At about the same time the entrance was moved and winding stairs provided. Alterations continued in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the insertion of new windows and the rebuilding of the south wall.
