Summary

In 1990 a collection of human skeletal remains were found during digging in the garden of this property. These finds were the latest in a series of skeletal remains that had been found in the gardens of No.56 and the adjacent house. The location of the properties, to the south of the church, may mean these skeletons came from the medieval churchyard .

Full description

1990. Latest in a series of finds of human skeletons (parts of) including skulls, in gardens of No.56 and adjacent house, to south of church.
Found whilst digging hole for weather vane post at depth of approximately 1m.
Earlier finds when digging for sewer trench and for building foundation.
Skulls apparently in very good condition!
