Summary
At some time around 1981 a Saxon gilded bronze and enamelled disc was found in the garden of the property during the burial of a terrapin. The object was probably originally a brooch but was possibly reused as a mount for a casket.

Around 1981. Found in garden of donor when burying a terrapin.
10th century gilded bronze enamelled disc with flange. Probably originally a brooch; secondary use as a mount for a casket.
