Summary
Fieldwalking in this area during 1991 recovered sherds of Iron Age, Roman, Early Saxon, Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post medieval pottery. Subsequent metal detecting on site in 2002 and 2005 retrieved a range of objects including a Late Saxon Thor's hammer pendant, a Bronze Age copper alloy axehead, a medieval annular buckle, post medieval tokens, part of a medieval key and a post medieval lead cloth seal.
