Summary
In around 1990 a stone object with an hour-glass perforation was found here. These objects (where the hole is created by pecking rather than drilling) are not closely dateable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.

Full description
1990 or earlier. Stray Find.
Possible Quartzite (glacial erratic) stone object with pecked hour-glass perforation. No sign of use, possibly a digging weight. Identified by J. Wymer (NAU). This discovery was reported in (S1).
N.B. Not the same as similar object from site NHER 7282 nearby.

Part of large scatter 28461.
Objects of this type are commonly referred to as pebble maceheads. Examples such as this where the perforation has been formed by pecking rather than by drilling are not closely dateable, having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.
