Metal detecting between 1991 and 1997 recovered a number of objects from the Roman to post medieval periods. These include Roman coins, pottery sherds from the Middle and Late Saxon periods, and Late Saxon tweezers.

October 1992. At north end of field at above grid reference.
One body sherd abraded pimply Middle Saxon Ipswich ware with oxid exterior and oxid inner margin.
Also in field: Iron spoon bit, rectangular tapering shank; broken at both ends. Length 111mm. ?Date, not recent.
