Summary
Around 1950 a small polished Neolithic flint axehead was recovered from this area. In 1962 a Greek copper alloy coin minted under the emperor Septimius Severus between AD 193 to AD 210 was also recovered.

Full description
Around 1950. Near Old Peoples House while ditch was being dug.
Small polished flint axe, tapering and with flat edges for more than half length towards butt.
Compiled by E. B. Green (NCM).
1962. Found in garden of Old Peoples House (Westfield Rd).
'Greek Imperial' bronze coin of Septimius Severus + Abgar VIII issued AD 193 - 210.
Identified by R. A. C. Carson of the British Museum. 'These oddments of 'Greek imperial' bronze do from time to time turn up'.
