Summary
Human remains of unknown date were found during the construction of a new duck lake in 1990. A silver Iron Age coin was also found by a metal detectorist, one of a number reputed to have been found at this site, perhaps from a hoard.

6 and 7 July 1990. [1]
Human skeletal remains, including skull, reported by Downham Market police.
Iron Age silver coin reported by landowner. Identified as boar/horse B. Weight 1.01 grammes. Apparently one of many (more than 20?) found by unknown detectors. Hoard? Nothing visible at time of visit.
Coin donated to NCM.

Report by anonymous local resident that two complete skeletons had been uncovered in last few days and quickly reburied by owner.
Information to resident said to be from owner.
Site now flooded so in circumstances no action taken.
