Summary
Metal-detecting between 1989 and 2013 has recovered Mesolithic/Neolithic, Neolithic/Bronze Age and Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age worked flints; a notable number of Roman pottery sherds as well as Middle Saxon and post-medieval pottery sherds; Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include Roman brooches, a lampholder, a probe/spoon probe fragment, a furniture fitting and a ?tweezers blade; an Early Saxon girdle hanger; a Middle Saxon copper alloy pin; a Late Saxon stirrup-strap mount; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval copper alloy sheet fragment and post-medieval crotal bells.

August 1989. Metal-detecting.
Found by [1] at Context 1:
1 Iron Age coin.
1 Roman coin, 66 Roman pottery sherds (concentrated around pit, including 59 greyware, 1 flagon and 5 Samian), 2 brooches and 1 copper alloy lampholder.
1 ?Middle Saxon copper alloy pin.
1 medieval buckle.
1 undatable silver droplet.
