Summary
In 1989 a hoard of medieval coins minted during the reign of Henry I and Stephen was found in Wicklewood. A subsequent salvage excavation and fieldwalking at the find site produced further coins and objects from other periods including a number of Roman artefacts.

Salvage excavation and fieldwalking produced further coins and finds of other periods including Roman concentration.
