Full description

November 1988. Context 1.
Early Saxon small long brooch. Head plate damaged, catch plate missing. Hole in centre of concentric circles on foot.
Unusual type.
See (S1 and S2).
Fragment copper alloy sheet, trace of ring and dot decoration. One hole. One edge curved over. Probably not a wrist clasp.

Copper alloy thimble, 15th to 16th century.
Fragment of small copper alloy pelta shaped strap mount, with attachment stud in centre of pelta. One arm of pelta and central tongue (on which second stud) missing. Compare with example from (S3). Roman.

Rim sherd Thetford type jar in quite coarse sandy fabric, diameter 150mm, weighing 77g.
