Summary

Metal detecting from 1988 to 2012 recovered several Roman and post-medieval coins as well as Roman, Early Saxon and medieval objects. The metal finds include two Roman brooches, an Early Saxon brooch and medieval buckles and a cauldron fragment.

Full description

Autumn 1988. Metal detecting finds.
Constantine I PROVIDENTIAE AVGG PTR Trier 324 to 330.
Identified by D. Gurney (NAU).

Bow and spring of Colchester derivative brooch. 1st century.
Dolphin brooch. Early spring type with backward hook, bow with median knurled rib and curved knurled decoration on either side. 40 to 55.
Fragment cast bronze cauldron. Medieval.
