Summary

Metal detecting at this location prior to 1988 recovered a single Iron Age coin. It was made from copper alloy and dated to the early to mid 1st century AD. The reverse of the coin showed the faint traces of a horse pattern.

Full description

Pre April 1988.
Bronze coin, early to mid 1st century AD. Obverse: missing, should be pattern with dots around Y. Reverse: also dots, last vestiges of horse pattern. Nearest equivalent is Mack 326.
Identified by A. Gregory (NAU) as Durotrigan mint.
