Full description
7 April 1987. Fenland fieldwalking, rolled and weathered ploughsoil.
Context 1: general scatter odd flints. Reference NWD AM on (S1).
Context 2: at 7057 9685 sparse concentration of pot boilers with one flint (which has been included under context 1) at terminal of sandy loam ridge 22m (northwest-southwest) x 13m (northeast-southwest) at 0.7m OD. Reference NWD 30 on (S1).
Context 3: at 7059 9688 sparse concentration pot boilers except for very dense patch where newly disturbed deposits. No flint. On terminus of sandy loam ridge. If it were not for these patches this would not be a concentration at all 12m (northeast-southwest) x 10m (northwest-southeast) at 0.7m OD. Reference NWD 31 on (S1).
